The following technologies will soon be offered to interested customers:
Neutron imaging detector
We are developing instrumentation for use in neutron science facilities with significant advantages over the conventional technology of 3He tubes, including higher counting rate capability, parallax-free position decoding, lower cost, safer operation and a wide array of geometry configurations.
High-pressure xenon spectrometer
We are developing an economical, portable spectrometer for field use, featuring high detection efficiency for gamma rays up to a few MeV, excellent energy resolution (<1% at 662 keV), and no need for cryogenic cooling.
PET camera for breast imaging
Proportional Technologies Inc. has employed its unique lead-walled straw detector in the development of a positron emission tomography (PET) camera, dedicated to breast functional imaging. The new camera will have clear advantages over conventional crystal-based cameras, such as lower cost, 3D position encoding, no depth-of-interaction errors, no photomultiplier tubes, and uniform sensitivity and resolution over the entire FOV.
PET camera for small animal studies
A small-diameter (2 mm) version of the unique lead-walled straw detector has been applied for the development of a PET camera, dedicated to small animal imaging. As with our breast PET scanner, this imaging camera will have clear advantages over conventional crystal-based cameras.
